A
solid collection of standards and some nice surprises are to be found on the new disc by Deanna Dubbin. This long
awaited CD features a wonderful mix of styles and vibe. This disc is now among my most favorite smooth listening
pop CD's since Linda Ronstandt and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and more recently Dianna Krall and Norah Jones.
From some of the more subtle moments right through to the controlled blasts of her powerful voice I enjoyed this
recording from top to bottom. The supporting band features some of the most talented musicians in western Canada,
and I truly look forward to the live performance of these arrangements. A world class performer living in our midst,
Deanna Dubbin can blow with the best of them.... Rick Mizzoni, Producer, MCC Entertainment Group Blue Leaf Music Ltd. Director ARIA

Sure
to get a nod from the critics, this is a recording that will comfortably fit among the top pop and smooth jazz
charts. Dubbin's voice is clear, concise and incredibly charged especially in her upper range. Her technique is
masterful and her delivery articulate offering the listener easy access to the lyrics...indeed the whole cd is
about accessibility. Dubbin is obviously schooled in the art of voice, almost to a fault, for I found myself yearning
for more; for her to let us in and show her vulnerability alongside her flawless performances. It's obvious her
influences are from a more sophisticated background as I hear Streisand, Anita Baker and at times, Canadian vocalist
Rebecca Jenkins in her delivery. A lush and luxurious recording, With One More Look At You is a
welcome addition to the record buyer's collection and deserves a permanent place in your cd player. Cindy McLeod, Jazz Vocalist, Writer for www.jazzenvoy.com
